As a senior sound designer at Ylands, I'm thrilled to share my story with you. It's hard to believe it's been exactly four years since I joined this amazing team. Little did I know back then that I would be working on a game that would capture the hearts of players worldwide.

My journey began when I was still finishing my degree in sound design at FAMU, Prague film school. During the hiring process, I stumbled upon an open position and reached out to the recruiter. The rest, as they say, is history.

So, how do sounds work in Ylands? Well, it's quite similar to other games. We use a combination of 3D audio techniques, cleverly crafted sound effects, and music to create an immersive experience for players. These elements are woven together to transport you to the world of Ylands, making you feel like you're truly on board.

Rarely will these sounds draw your attention, but without them, the game wouldn't be the same. Adventurous music, howling wind, waves splashing against the shore, boat parts creaking and your footsteps on the deck – all these elements work together to create a captivating atmosphere that draws you in.

As a sound designer, I'm passionate about crafting sounds that enhance the gaming experience. It's an incredible feeling knowing that my work contributes to making Ylands the beloved game it is today.
